QE Quechua's Expedition stands among a rare class of males, backed by a truly solid white pedigree, with only a couple of colored females appearing in four generations. His lineage represents some of the most influential elite white genetics ever established within the U.S. alpaca industry, built through decades of intentional and disciplined selection by the Skinner family.

Within his pedigree are not only legendary Herdsires, but equally powerful foundation females, the true drivers behind the Snowmass and Quechua programs. Influential females such as Snowmass Legends Marvel, Snowmass Heavens Angel, and Snowmass Heaven’s Love anchor this genetic base. Most notably, 5Peruvian Hallmark stands apart as a once-in-a-generation selection. Chosen as a first-pick lottery female from Peru, at a time when most breeders prioritized Herdsires, she proved to be a transformational addition. Her impact was undeniable, later commanding a record-setting $125,000 at the Making of Champions Sale.

Complementing this maternal strength is the presence of 4Peruvian Legacy, a historic and highly influential sire originally sold to the late Joe Nelson of Crescent Moon Ranch, and now carried forward by Scott Miller and Debbie.

Phenotypically, Expedition is built on a well-balanced, substantial frame, offering both scale and presence. His fleece is a direct reflection of his lineage, exceptional in quality and consistency. His 2024 FiberLux samples averaged 16.6 microns, showcasing a long-stapling fleece with strong architecture from skin to tip, excellent density, and a soft, supple handle. Uniformity extends throughout, maintaining an ideal S/P ratio even into the extremities.

Expedition carries what many breeders seek, but few achieve, the ability to inject elite white fleece genetics into a program with purpose.
